~ ABOUT BRIAN ~
I was diagnosed as a baby with a heart murmur. I was plagued with very painful and severe ear infections and was on antibiotics virtually all of my early childhood. At about age 8 I was diagnosed with severe allergies and asthma and was put on many medications.
When I was 16 years old I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and told that I would eventually have to have surgery. I did not feel in my heart that this was right for me and knew that there must be another way to heal. I then began changing my lifestyle and became a student of natural healing and organic farming.
At age 18 I was diagnosed with eczema, impetigo and was also told that my liver was reactive to hepatitis C after having a blood test. The doctor I went to told me that if my liver progressed to this condition that I may need a liver transplant one day. I continued on my journey working with natural healing to heal my liver just as I did with my hernia.
I still had asthma even after doing extensive healing work to correct my hernia, skin and liver. NOTHING was going to stop me from breathing again naturally and being free from asthma. I tried almost every cleanse and diet. Nothing seemed to get to the root of this, so I began claiming the callings of my heart and soul. I left Missouri to pursue my dreams and a life in California. Through this journey my asthma finally healed.
I created Heart and Soul Health Services to share my legacy:

I have been deeply commited to the study and practice of nutrition, herbology, cleansing, psycho/emotional healing and whole food culinary arts for over 13 years. I am a Certified Nutritional Herbologist, Herbalist and Master Herbalist through Dr. John Christopher's School of Natural Healing. I am an IIPA Certified Iridologist with extensive training with Dr. Ellen-Tart Jensen.
I offer a unique, whole person approach to creating health and healing. My work addresses the deeper roots and causes of the challenges in our lives... integrating the body, mind spirit and emotions with my clients.

"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you're telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day, and if you can source your own life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes!"
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments."
