~ ABOUT BRIAN MATTHEW SELF ~
I was diagnosed as a baby with a heart murmur. I was plagued with very painful and severe ear infections and was on antibiotics virtually all of my early childhood. At about age 8 I was diagnosed with severe allergies and asthma and was put on many medications.
When I was 16 years old I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia and told that I would eventually have to have surgery. I did not feel in my heart that this was right for me and that there must be another way to heal. I then began changing my lifestyle and became a student of natural healing and organic farming.
At age 18 I was diagnosed with eczema, impetigo and was also told that my liver was reactive to hepatitis C after having a blood test. The doctor I went to told me that if my liver progressed to this condition that I may need a liver transplant one day. So I continued on my journey working with natural healing to heal my liver just as I did with my hernia.
I still had asthma even after doing extensive healing work to correct my hernia, skin and liver. I was completely determined to breathe again naturally and be free from asthma. I tried almost every cleanse and diet. Nothing seemed to get to the root of this.
I began facing the deep caverns of my spiritual and emotional desires. I left Missouri to pursue my dreams and a life in California. Through this journey to California my asthma finally healed. This healing occurred for me because I embraced what I always wanted in life. I stepped into LIVING my dreams and moved the blocks that had kept my breath of life restricted for so long. This is what set me free.
I created Heart and Soul Health Services to give my gift to the world and to share my journey of love, healing, living and being.
~ Education and Credentials ~
I have been intimately involved in the study and practice of herbology, nutrition, cleansing, psycho/emotional healing and whole food culinary arts for over 12 years. I am a Certified Nutritional Herbologist and Master Herbalist through Dr. John Christopher's School of Natural Healing. I am an IIPA Certified Iridologist with extensive training with Dr. Ellen-Tart Jensen.
I offer a unique, whole person approach to creating health and healing. My work addresses the deeper roots and causes of the challenges in our lives... integrating the body, mind spirit and emotions with my clients.
I enjoy living in kinship with nature, researching and providing superior quality organic/wildcrafted herbals, nutritionals and whole food products. I am dedicated to doing business as a spiritual path and I have a deep love for the Earth and Humanity.
